iPhone 3G Restore

The next step will and should cure the Frozen Apple Logo issue.
Note:
A restore will wipe everything on the iPhone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will lose contacts, email accounts, game scores, and the iPhone will be reset to Factory Settings!
Note:
If possible attempt to sync iPhone contacts and iPhone if it has not been recently backed up, especially if you purchase things using your iPhone.

Steps to backup contacts:

1. iPhone will most likely automatically sync
2. Under information check to include contacts
3. Click apply
4. Box will appear, click merge
5. Hopefully iPhone will sync these in its current state, but I am not sure

Steps to Restore iPhone 3G & Cure Frozen Logo

1. Open Itunes on your computer
2. Connect iPhone to computer
3. Click Restore (found on main iPhone sync screen)
4. You will want to click yes
5. After iPhone has been reset, it will show in the iPhone connect to Itunes (which you have already done)
6. Itunes should recognize
7. Setup iPhone as a new device, not from backup
8. Deselect other boxes and continue
9. iPhone should say activated and should be in working order
10. The last step is to go through your library and add items back to iPhone

Note:

Be careful when adding and deleting Apps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This incident happened to me when deleting 61 Apps from my iPhone.

I reccomend deleting and adding in sets of 5 or so to be safe!

iPhone 3G Hard Reset

1. Perform a hard reset! (This will most likely not solve the problem but it is better to give it a try)

Hold the home button and wake button at the same time. Since the logo is already on continue to hold until it disappears and phone restarts.

Note:

This will not erase anything on the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just cuts the power to restart!!!!!!!!

If problem is not solved then continue to next solution!!!!!!!!!!!

iPhone Symptoms

1. iPhone is frozen on the Apple Logo
2. iPhone flickers every now and then
3. iPhone vibrates when synced
4. iPhone when plugged to PC will sync and re-sync
5. iPhone hard reset doesn't work (home button and wake button)
6. iPhone remains frozen on Apple Logo indefinitely
7. iPhone battery out doesn't cure
